Spicy Cilantro Margarita

This Spicy Cilantro Margarita is a great way to get a taste of the exotic using ingredients you're likely to have in your liqueur cabinet or refrigerator.

  • 1.5 oz Tequilla
  • 0.5 oz Triple Sec
  • 0.25 oz Simple Syrup (read below to make your own)
  • 2.0 oz of Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
  • Jalapeños
  • Cilantro

Add the jalapeños to your simple syrup to make it spicy. Add the spicy syrup to fresh squeezed lime juice and cilantro in a shaker at the same time. Rim the glass with salt and add ice. Drain ingredients from the Shaker into the glass and garnish with a lime!

Need simple syrup? Here's how you can do that easily at home:

Measure equal parts water to sugar. Mix in a pot and bring to a biol. If you want to make a flavoured syrup, like jalapeños, add the ingredient now, while still bringing to boil.

Once the mixture boils, turn off the burner and let chill. After it's cooled down you are ready to use your simple syrup!
