Three Simple Tips to Get Your Kids to Eat Vegetables

Written by Christine Hanlan | May 24, 2019
Kids can be picky eaters; it can be frustrating when you know their favourite foods aren’t always the most nutrient dense. It's especially frustrating when they refuse to eat the foods you know will do them the most good.

Here are some tricks to help you get those nutritious vegetables into your kids!

  1. Lead by example. Seems obvious but it is so important it has to be mentioned. You have more influence than you know. Your kids are watching you, so eat your greens!
  2. Offer two different vegetables at every meal and let your kids chose which one they will eat. Consider having one raw vegetable or a salad as a choice. Take this a step further and ask for their help in meal planning where they choose the vegetables they want and help prepare them.
  3. Let your kids make a list of 3 – 5 vegetables they don’t like and promise to NEVER make them eat them. That means all other vegetables they promise to eat at least a little bit.
