What's For Dinner?

How do you figure out what is for dinner? Leave it to the last minute and it might be take-out, a frozen meal, or even just a bowl of cereal. OK once in a while, but not ideal on a regular basis. The answer of course is to plan ahead - but this is much easier said than done!

Healthy Eating sign with a beautiful day

Make life simper by writing out a weekly meal plan to inspire each evening’s dinner. This meal plan doesn’t tell you exactly what to make, but gives a guideline to help you narrow it down.

Make Friday a fish night, for example. That way, you know every Friday you are going to make some sort of fish dish. Simplify life even more and collect 3 to 5 fish recipes that you and your family enjoy. I know, getting kids to eat fish can be challenging but I’ll share some kid-friendly fish ideas another week.

Simplify further and have two collections of recipes, summer and winter. Ideal summer recipes are dishes that are served cold, salad-inspired meals, BBQ, and stove top creations. During the colder winter months, switch over to recipes that require the oven and your favourite soups and stews. Of course pasta recipes work any season for kids!
